Bahia Honda State Park is located on Big Pine Key (south
of Marathon across the 7 mile bridge).
Recently named the second most beautiful beach in North America,
Bahia Honda (meaning deep bay in Spanish) not only provides white sandy
beaches, but also tropical vegetation and a great variety of bird life
are included in this mini-paradise.
SNORKELING: Daily departures are 9:30am and 1:30pm year round. Summer
tour times may vary, please call to confirm. Snorkelers will travel to
Looe Key Reef in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Each trip
provides you with approximately 1 1/2 hours of snorkeling; plenty of
time to take in all the wonders of the coral reef. For

KAYAKING: Explore the waters in one of the stable sit-on-top Ocean
Kayaks. Navigation is possible around the entire island and offers a
quiet, peaceful tour.
BICYCLING: Cruise the park's more than 3-1/2 mile hard surface road
that runs the length of Bahia Honda.
SNACK BAR: Located in the main concession building, the snack bar has
a broad menu which includes pizza, deli sandwiches, salads, ice cream
and more.
All visitors are required to pay an entrance fee. One person $2.50, two people $5.00,
and $0.50 for each additional person
